The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding its production facilities abroad, and doing business in France and Germany, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an area of growth for bidet and washlet toilet seats, in contrast to its "base" markets in Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto was recording Toto words to ensure the next generation could read them. Many words were substituted with foreign ones. For instance, dui, which is Bengali for verandah, was being used.
Origins
Established in 1917, Toto's beginnings mirrored Japan's growth. In the first half of its existence, the company produced products to meet the demand for new, modern urban housing. To do this, it employed the first tunnel kiln in the nation to produce ceramics in a continuous flow. It also pioneered the use of automation to control production, allowing for greater efficiency and consistency.
In the late 1980s, the company began expanding outwards to take advantage of sales and new markets. The company established the Cera Trading Company to import and distribute other products from other manufacturers in order to enhance its own line of sanitary earthenwares as well as plumbing fittings. This strategy increased sales and expanded the company's market share in the world.
In the 1990s, Toto began focusing on research and development for water-related appliances. It also improved its distribution system to better meet the needs of customers and to increase profits. The company employed the same approach of just-in-time in its supply chain management as well as sales program. This led to a higher level of satisfaction of customers.
Toto continued to innovate toilet technology. The most recent toilet features a powerful, environmentally-friendly tornado flush. The company also uses recycled water in its manufacturing process and has a green procurement policy. Toto also produces faucets, bathtubs and hand dryers with greater energy efficiency than typical models.
The first museum of the company was opened in 2015, and it has exhibitions on Toto's most iconic products and their development and its group companies (all that deal with ceramics) and the history of plumbing and other products such as bath units and, in a separate gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum has the bathroom equipped with a WASHLET and other toilet innovations.
Before 안전놀이터 추천 of Toto, members of the band did session work for a variety of musicians. Boz Scaggs' album Silk Degrees featured keyboardist David Paich, guitarists Mike Porcaro & Steve Lukather and drummer Jeff Porcaro & Steve Lukather. They also performed on albums by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
You would expect a group with a name like Asia to be a prog rock group however it's actually a relatively straightforward rock band. The group began as a group and recorded two albums: 1979's self titled debut and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The group has a wide musical background but their biggest success came in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a major blockbuster, but not without problems. Record companies put the band on the position with the order "give us an album that's a smash or we'll take you off the market" and the pressure was on them to meet the deadline. Toto was able achieve this through the aid of the hit song "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery is due to their previous experience in the music industry, as the band members were session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts prior the group. Their distinctive sound has since become the standard for pop music from the 1980s, and has influenced many modern artists.
The album opens with a strong and pounding sound with tracks like Running Out of Time and Unknown Soldier showcasing the bands ability to write fantastic AOR songs that slowly build their hooks into you. The album also has some slower, more jazzy tracks, like The Little Things and Chinatown. The album closes with Great Expectations. This song blends folk and the distorted AOR which could appear completely unnatural, but actually is very effective.
After Toto IV the band's fortunes began to wane. David Hungate left the band to pursue a solo career and the band was dominated by drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in after he was charged with drug abuse. the group continued to perform as a trio featuring Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.

Despite 안전놀이터 추천 , Toto forged ahead and released Isolation that was not as successful as IV. However, the band was able to release a chart-topping album in 1992 with Kingdom of Desire. This album marked the conclusion of the original Toto lineup and was the first album to feature a new singer, Simon Phillips.

Turn Back, the band's third studio album it was a return to a classic sextet structure, and an even more consistent and powerful effort with a harder edge. The more experimental sound of Turn Back reflected the growth of the band. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing proficiency was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had grown more confident and mature. David Paich's work was more refined, sharper and less cloned earlier recordings.
After touring to promote the album, the group recorded a live show in Amsterdam that was released as a two-CD set called Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. The group released their new studio album a few months later, and went on a world tour support the album. During this period, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes replaced Paich and bassist David Hungate quit the group to spend time with his family.
In 1998, Paich & Lukather began looking through old tapes and demos to discover songs that hadn't been recorded before. It was released as a double album titled Then & Now in 2001. It was the band's first album that did not contain one single track titled "A". The album also contained an previously unreleased track "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth record, Old Is New was an uncommercial success and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis that affected his singing abilities. Additionally, Hungate returned to Nashville as a drummer, and Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.
Downes, Wetton Palmer and Howe, the founding members of Asia, met in England early in 2006 to discuss the possibility that the group could be reformed. The group, which was missing Howe who was busy with Yes at the period, was later renamed Toto XIV. They toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band featured a special appearance by singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
